Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society

In cooperation with the Provincial Archives, the Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society accesses community resources and raises funds for the benefit of the Archives and its clients by operating casinos, assisting with the production of publications and educational resources, providing student and other employment opportunities at the Archives, and seeking government grants for specific archival projects.
The Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society is an incorporated, non-profit organization created in 1991 to support the ongoing work of the Provincial Archives of Alberta by:
- Assisting the Provincial Archives in acquiring, preserving and making its collections accessible
- Fostering an awareness and appreciation of the Provincial Archives and the documentary heritage it preserves
- Promoting and supporting programs and services at the Provincial Archives

Projects
From the money raised through its fundraising efforts, the Friends are able to fund important projects such as the rebinding of well-used local history books, the archival arrangement and description of private records, and the preservation and stabilization of rare books held in the Reference Library.
Membership and Donations
Membership in the Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society is open to everyone. By becoming a member, you will be helping us to preserve and make accessible the documentary history of our province for present and future generations.

The Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society also accepts donations to help with its programs and projects in support of the Provincial Archives. Tax receipts are issued for donations over $10.
